Summary0000563: Missing context menu
DescriptionMozilla Thunderbird is missing at least one important context menu. Normally, when you highlight an e-mail, a right mouse click on the sender will display a context menu with various items like adding the sender to the contact list, modifying the contact or creating a filter. This menu is missing. A right click in the latest version does nothing, which is not normal.
Steps To Reproduce1. Install Rocky Linux 8 desktop or workstation.

2. Install Mozilla Thunderbird: dnf install -y thunderbird

3. Set up an e-mail account.

4. Highlight an e-mail.

5. Right click an e-mail address.

6. See for yourself that the corresponding contextual menu is missing.

Thank you for the report.

Please attempt to replicate this on RHEL 8.6. If it can be reproduced, you will need to file an upstream bug at

Apparently this is an upstream bug. I just installed Thunderbird on a virtual installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Worksation 8.6, setup a mail account in Thunderbird and tested this. No context menus either. I'll check this out on Red Hat's Bugzilla.
