Summary | 0002015: gnome taskbar icons not showing up for some flatpak apps
Description | Using a fresh install of Rocky Workstation 9, I have installed several flatpaks via flathub. Each of these apps has a tray icon that should display in the gnome topbar, but not all of them do. The developer of "SyncThingy" was able to reproduce the issue here: https://github.com/zocker-160/SyncThingy/issues/14 Of the flatpaks I have tried (all from flathub), these are the results: Google Chrome - Displays correctly Telegram - Does not display SyncThingy - Does not display
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Install Rocky Workstation 2) Enable flathub 3) Install a flatpak app that utilizes gnome topbar tray icons

Closing as upstream ticket seems imply the issue may be elsewhere as the issue crops up on another desktop environment (plasma). You may need to ensure you have the right extensions running for your desktop. If this remains an issue in 9.5, please open a new bug report. |
