Summary0012640: cannot update newest kernel owing to openssh problem
DescriptionDear Rocky9:

I noticed that the new kernel for "CVE-2026-31431 - Copy Fail" was posted this morning and tried to update my system (9.7). Failed on openssh. I always file a bug when this happens since the reason why needs to be known before a solution can be applied (in other words, I don't like blindly using --allowerasing, --skip-broken, or --nobest). Output in "Steps to Reproduce".

Thanks in advance for prompt attention as I'd really like to get this exploit behind me. For what it is worth, I am not sufficiently knowledgeable to understand/apply all the workarounds I have read about with or without various folks reporting problems with some)

Paul
