Summary | 0008978: Kernel Panic
Description | I have a headnode and 19 machines that act as nodes for the headnode. The nodes boot over the network into a version of Rocky Linux. 17 nodes are functioning normally, however, 2 nodes, the oldest ones and located in the same cabinet (SGI Altix Xe310), are experiencing issues. They boot, recognize the operating system, but during the system loading, a Kernel Panic message appears. These machines boot normally from the hard drive and ping correctly with the headnode. The configurations are 2x Intel Xeon E5420 and 16GB of RAM each. Could these machines be outdated for the operating system?
