Summary | 0006271: Cannot rename or delete files/folders on NFSv3 share in Nautilus
Description | Hello, I have already described this problem in the GNOME/Nautilus portal (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/3386). Unfortunately we cannot delete or rename files/folders on a connected NFS share under Rocky Linux 8.9. All functions are grayed out. In the terminal everything works without problems: copy, move, rename and delete. Under CentOS 7.9 there are no problems with the same user and share. We have gathered the following findings together with the maintainer of Nautilus: "So there seems to be some problem with access::can-delete and access::can-rename. Can you please test with recent glib2 versions?" "This may be a bug in the glib project, but also in NFS drivers or kernel. But glib 2.56 was released 6 years ago. Such old versions are not supported upstream." glib2-2.56.4-164.el8.x86_64 nautilus-3.28.1-25.el8.x86_64 Kernel 4.18.0-513.18.1.el8_9.x86_64
