Summary0010363: RHEL-102028 bug fix
DescriptionWe've recently run into a situation where our Windows domain controllers were patched - this is now playing havoc with our winbind authentication. There is an upstream patch that we hope will fix the issue but it hasn't made it's way to Rocky Linux yet. I know nothing about the complexity involved in porting bug fixes, but I would be most appreciative if this one could be prioritised. I am happy to help in any way possible.

Which version of Rocky Linux 8 are you using Jon? I believe this was patched in Rocky Linux 8.10 https://git.rockylinux.org/staging/rpms/samba/-/commit/f4c3045d9ce96622ab9fa4b012be7509fb7140d1 and if you are on Rocky Linux 8.10 you should be able to pull from this this update from this repository https://dl.rockylinux.org/pub/rocky/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os.
